Bowl of Pho
About This Spot
Stepping into Bowl of Pho feels like coming across a cherished neighborhood secret tucked quietly away on Old Baymeadows Road—a spot where the pace slows just enough to savor the warmth of a well-crafted meal and the comfort of genuine hospitality. The modest, unpretentious façade invites you inside to a space that hums with casual energy, where the clatter of dishes mingles easily with quiet conversations and the gentle clink of chopsticks.
Inside, the atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, filled with the subtle aromas of simmering broth and fresh herbs that promise authentic Vietnamese flavors. This is a place where time seems measured not by clocks but by the care taken in every bowl, every spring roll, and every refreshing bubble tea served. It’s an environment where both longtime locals and first-time visitors find room at the table to share a moment, savor a taste, and feel seen.
The menu here isn’t just a list of dishes—it’s a curated invitation to explore the heart of Vietnamese cooking. The broth, tender and deeply flavored, acts as a comforting hug on cooler days, while fresh spring rolls and crispy dumplings offer lighter fare that dances on the palate. For those who appreciate a blend of textures and tastes, rare beef salads and shaken beef dishes bring bright herbal notes and satisfying richness. The bubble tea, often enjoyed by newcomers and regulars alike, punctuates the meal with a playful sweetness that feels just right.
There’s a quiet devotion to authenticity that resonates throughout the experience: the kind that comes from generations of recipes, honed by hands accustomed to their craft. Patrons often return not just for the food, but for a pause in the everyday—a chance to unwind, connect, and discover a little more about the vibrant flavors that Vietnamese cuisine offers.
Whether you’re seeking a comforting solo meal, a casual spot for sharing dishes with friends, or simply a place that feels like a small discovery in the wide map of Jacksonville’s food scene, Bowl of Pho welcomes you as if you were a neighbor dropping by. Here, eating becomes an act of quiet celebration, a reminder that some of the best experiences are found in the company of simplicity, warmth, and thoughtfully prepared food.

The pho is delicious here. The broth that they serve with the pho is so delicious and so flavorful I will be coming back. I have never had a Boba smoothie before, this was my first time trying it and it was so delicious. If I don’t come back for anything else, I’ll be coming back for the Boba smoothies. The appetizer that we tried was really good too, so we will definitely be coming back to try more items on a menu.

Can’t go wrong with fresh spring rolls, vermicelli, and fried rice! The food is delicious and service is fast. One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Jax! ———- Recently tried their rare beef salad. Tasty combo of meat, basil, onions, fried onions, and peanut!

Authentic pho. Award winning for a reason. We get the P1 and the M8 and love it. The broth is well rounded, the veggies are fresh and who doesnt love a good spring roll and some Boba? The shrimp paste is also good as a starter. Can't go wrong supporting a local treasure like this one. Highly recommend.

Best small, hole in the wall Pho place in town! The service was fantastic as well. They also have really yummy boba drinks that are worth the price. Will definitely be going back-soon!

This place has existed for decades and still a family favorite. Although many everyone orders the beef pho, I always get the seafood pho because the broth is crazy good. If you've never had anything other than rare beef pho, try to switch to the seafood pho and see why this is the most preferred. Never ever order the small. Always get large or extra large.
